Abstract Abstract | Publications

This project is a collaboration with Air Flow Consulting, an engineering company specialized in CFD simulations of airflow in and around buildings. The objective of the project is to develop a hardware-accelerated volume rendering of data from smoke propagation simulations. For the planning of building evacuation in case of fire, it is critical that the visualization produces accurate visibility distances to exits and exit signs. The larger visibility distance of self-emitting exit signs must also be accounted for.
