About Me:
I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Computer Graphics Laboratory of Prof. Markus Gross. The goal of my research is the devlopment of new algorithms to enable efficient, realistic and controllable fluid simulations.

I received my diploma in computer science June 2003 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. After doing research on compiler optimizations with Dan Quinlan, I started my PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Ulrich Ruede, on the topic of free surface simulations with LBM. The thesis was handed in October 2006. After this, I collaborated with the research group of Ageia (now Nvidia) lead by Matthias Mueller-Fischer, on fluid simulations for computer games.

Recent updates:
- Wavelet turbulence: example sources
- Real-time physics example sources: LBM, SWS
- Siggraph 2008 real-time physics class: website

  Current Projects:

Wavelet Turbulence for Fluid Simulation
Simulations based on the Shallow Water Equations
