I am a senior research scientist at the Computer Graphics Laboratory at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. My research focuses on physically-based simulations and animations for Computer Graphics, including film and game production, virtual reality applications, biomedical computing and physically-based interactive design processes. I particularly focus on modeling fluids, aiming at improving the quality, efficiency and user interactivity. Currently I explore the application of machine learning to solve persistent problems of such simulations. I also use data-driven modeling for game analyses and game-based learning applications. I was one of the conference chairs of the ACM SIGGRAPH / Eurographics Symposium on Computer Animation 2016 in Zurich and a co-guest editor of the special issue of IEEE CG&A on Modeling Virtual Humans 2017. I served on several program committees such as ACM SIGGRAPH, Eurographics and SCA. I am a co-founder of Apagom AG that provides a real-time fluid engine using machine learning.
